which tyres would you lot..

Recommend for me and my sv??
Bearing in mind a few factors; Im still a learner (determined to pass my big test before summers out), itl mostly be commuting to and from work, but when i do go out and play itl be a local v tight and twisty road..
Was thinking of bt020's???

I stuck diablo stradas on, did wonders for my confidence.

Likewise Roadtecs. 020s are good but they seem to frazzle faster than 020s when worked hard, and they don't last as well by all accounts.

kciN 23-06-06 03:30 PM

I have BT020 on back, and BT010 on front
BT020 - Touring tyre, harder in the centre
BT010 - Sport tyre, more sticky..

Been happy with them, never felt unsafe, when playing!!

(Be prepared for lots of comments on other tyres, from the others, to confuse you........ )

BT020s are fine, but more expensive than you need to pay and not quite as good as the latest crop of tyres available. You best bet would probably be the Metzeler Z6 which should be a fair bit cheaper and is now considered a better option than the ageing 020.

If you browse through here, you'll see it's all been said already ;)

Tyres

I run Avon 45/46's on my curvy, which are sport touring tyres. They give good mileage and grip well in all weathers. When I fitted these the front felt a lot more "planted" than with the standard Metzelers.

I've had 2 sets of 020's on my bike and i've recently put on Z6's for the first time. I have to say they are more confidence inspiring and seem to feel alot stickier in the corners than the 020's. Can't comment on milage yet but i've read on here that people are getting very good milage from them.

Looks like its going to be z6's then :D , i did a search BEFORE i posted and say that alot of people reccomended them, just wanted to be sure. :D

I fitted conti road attacks £165 ride in ride out service (Bedford wheels) really like them and they are lasting quite well too, plus you cant beat the tread pattern in my opinion.

BT020 or the conti road attacks :)
