i just cleaned my T-stunt air jacket this weekend. it looks brand new, esp as white is a bugger to keep clean. the black has come up all glossy too just like i bought it.

heres how i did it.

soak in warm water (aka the bath) with all the pads out for a few hours with a little washing power.
get a nail brush, and a bar of Vanish stain remover soap (only a pound)

rub the dirty area with the soap, then scrub with the brush. then rinse off.
do a small area at a time, the brush gets the muc off pretty good, and is great for getting under the seams, and cleaning up those reflective strips.

then rinse off with the cold shower,
hang to dry (took less than an hour to dry in the sun on saturday)

when i was done, the water was black.

also there is a poundshop near me that sells motorcycle bug remover,
its much better than any other brand ive tried, literally just spray on the bugs, and wipe off.

voila, bugs done, i use it on my clothes, visor and bike.

if you wanna pay me some postage, ill send u some.

for the bike and the helmet i use Mr sheen seems to work well its just the jacket i was getting fed up with because it looks very second hand. thanks for the offer tho bikageboy.

what jacket is it ?

there are some companys out there that offer a restoration service, but if its only a cheap one, might as well buy a new one,

high quality jackets seem to look new after a clean, whereas the bottom end jackets "buffalo, belstaff ect ect" tend to fade and look a bit used.

or you could always try some of the nikwax products, there supposed to be very very good.

I put my Shoei textile jacket in a hand wash then used the Nikwax wash-in re-proofer meant for climbing gear and the likes. It hasn't really worked all that well though, the jacket lets in water much sooner than before. It did come out a lot cleaner, so not all bad.
