How to start a game..... Old school style
 

Remember when you was back in school, I mean primary school when you were innocent. You used to play games like tig and kingy.


How did you decide who was ‘it’?

We used ‘feet in the middle’ then it was some sort of ‘ip did do….’ Rhyme to single people out… and you’d touch a shoe for each word you said going around the circle.

Did you do the same?

Can you remember any of the rhymes?

I’ll start

There was a monkey
Running ‘cross the country
fell down a deep hole
Cut his little a***hole
What colour was his blood?

When you had all shouted out a colour you’d spell one out and the person whose foot you ended one was either ‘it’ or you’d go the other way and they would be safe (it all depended on if that first person was either yourself or your bezzie mate)

Eny meanie miny moe
Catch a tiger (word replaced for political correctness) by the toe
If he squeals, let him go.
Eny meanie miny moe.

Or if time was short

Ip-dip-dog-****-you-are-it.

Old school games being as tomorrow and saturday night we have a field how about a game of good old British Bulldog I hear that most schools have banned the game.
We can do spuds to decide whose in the middle, one potatoe two potatoe etc.. :lol:

Used to have piggy back fights where the object was to get the 'rider' off the back of his 'steed' bloody hurt on a tarmac playground

Are you referring to the AR by any chance. I think that is a GREAT idea.

We HAVE to wait until it's nearly dark and we are all truley hammered first though. We need a sober person with a video camera though

Wrestlemania was another that was band - due to piledrivers and coathangers those sorts of things...

I use to have big buck teeth - thanks to Bull Rush the ends were broken off and the dentist filed them flat. That was my foray into cosmetic surgery :P

Wearing leathers and helmets?

Only if someone remember to bring the baby oil....

I think this sounds fantastic, might have to wear helmets tho, as most of us are a little older than when we were at school

And quite alot are hevier than they were too :lol:
