If you do a search it will come up for you
I'm currently doing the SRAD conversion on my curvy 1998 750 srad forks srad callipers srad yokes with sv stem pressed in TL1000 front wheel TL1000 mud guard TL1000 spindle TLS1000 clip ons Hope this gives you some idea Cheers BILLY :D |
what are you implying razor????????
Oki doki chief, shall do, cheers. :) |
SRAD is definately the way to go- or at least SRAD yokes. Most (if not all) the thous have Kayaba forks which are considered inferior to the equivalent Showas, I'm told this year's 600 and maybe 750 have some of the best forks yet found on a street bike but I can't speak from experience. But loads of stuff fits intot eh SRAD yokes. Disc spacing is the only thing that might be fiddly, not actually done that myself.

If you are thinking of fitting radial then I' pretty sure the SRAD yoke can't be easily used so you retain your ignition lock.
The reason is the SRAD yokes are wider by 7mm which means the forks would be 3.5mm further apart from the wheel. Easy with the non-radil as you just shim the caliper inwards. With the radial you'll need to space out the discs. This if I'm visualising correctly would alnmost certainly mean having a spacer machined out that has the(how does one describe it) the pertruding bit similar to the one on the wheel that the centre of the discs goes through. Then you have to have special bolts made with an extra 3mm waist(?). Bottome line is you'll lose your ignition lock if you want a Radial on a curvy or get a bespoke yoke made. I have not really checked it out to see if the ignition form the Curvy would fit but the GSXR1000 K5 or K6(one off them atleast) has the ignition in the middle. If the curvy ignition fits in that that could be an option. After that you still have to think of the steering stops. Grind then drill and tap but could easily fashion something from a bit of Ally bolted on to the headstock where the headlight fairing bracket is attached. Cheers Ben |
