Switzerland

Yup, I am off on holiday there for the next two weeks (sadly as a family, not on my bike).

So who has been there, and what is a must-see?

Few biggish hills and loads of toblerone. Give it a miss mate. Oh and the odd cheesey clock with a bird in it.

Get yerself off to Skegness at a fraction of the price.

HTH.

Well you have to drink the wheat beer even if just for it laxative properties.

The trains are good when they appologise in half a dozen languages for being 2 minutes late leaving a station

Lake Geneva if the water fountain is on is loverly. Lucerene has a statue of Freddy Murcury by the water.
The whole place is loverly if youve never been.

Spidey..but apart from being luvverly...whaht else has it to offer? Nothing I can see that couldn't be matched by full board in Mablethorpe!

When I went there we checked into a hotel [reasonably priced for Switzerland too] to watch a mega storm over lake, mountains and forest :D

Do the railway that goes up inside the north face of the Eiger, I think it's called something like Jungfraujoch - amazing to look out of the window on the northwall, with a 6,000 ft+ almost sheer drop and see climbers making their way up it

Otherwise it's bloody expensive

take a trip to jo'burg while you're there and if you've time go to table top mountain in cape town, the views are spectacular.

what?
