I phoned my local tyre fitter and he said

£186 for d208's n £192 for Z6's (sets)

i see some posts on here saying they have had sets fitted about 40 quid cheaper,

I've had 208s and I wouldn't have them again. They're ok, but very weird when cranked over. I think the edge profile is quite steep and it makes them feel a bit loose underneath you.
I know they were standard fitment on the R6 before the new model...

I'd say screw thew whole lot and get Pirelli Diablos

Never riden on the 208 but that was what I felt about the 207RR on my 7R. Never mind me not being fast enough to heat them up   but the steep profile I didn't like. I was way fsater on the standard 207.

Agree on the emm.. screw bit as well I'm running Diablo strada rear(needs to last) and Diablo front but the Strada to be honest give plenty of grip.

My next tyre I'd be riding on would be the Mez3 though. It's black and round init? :P

Cheers

I havent been riding long so its only a beginners advice but I had both D208's and just put some Z'6 on now. Z6 are much better in my opinion & give me much more confidence.

Done about 3500 to 4000 miles on 208's, okay apart from the slightest bit of rain and they are very unnerving and the ydidn't like the cold.
Okay on my first ever track day at end of May
http://upload4.postimage.org/636895/...26_06_2006.jpg Never did get me knee down

Time to replace them now as both front and rear are down to the wear indicators and I got a puncture last night, so now going for Z6's!

How come people say they use 2 rears to 1 front, never happens with me!
