Hit and Run :(
 

Knocked off my 2 month old SV1000S this evening by what appears to be an uninsured scumbag.

REG - J411 HAP

2 witnesses - he changed lanes, knocked me flying slowed down to give me the finger and then drove off.

Police visited the keeper address but no one home, it'll probably be report 'stolen' by now.

Looks likely that'll I'll have to fork out for repairs :( Due to go to France on holiday with gf on the 31st.

Any chance a suzuki dealer can get a gear lever, clutch lever and entire LHS wing mirror fitted by then ?

The gear lever is actually in one piece but appears to have lost the seal-washer (09160-12011) and circlip (08331-31126) which stop it sliding off the pivot point.

R&Gs did a good job all things considered.

Sorry to hear about that. Make sure you post in the SV1000 site too, few peeps in the area.

Similar happened to me. Only difference was I chased after him and he ended up losing control and smashing into a wall.

Unfortunately whilst trying to work out the best way to go in :roll: :lol: (Couple of guys you see) they made off and unsurprisingly the car was reported stolen within a few minutes of the crash.

Didn't check your location prior to starting to post but I've got a virtually brand new SV1000N K3(1000miles) which I'm happy to let you take parts off if your dealer can't get the bits in on time.

You just have to check if the bits are interchangeable. PM and we should be able to sort something out if need be.

Yikes, fingers crossed it wasn't stolen mate!! Hope you enjoy uyour holiday anyway.

Order the parts from Robinsons Foundry, fit them yourself.

If you don't fit them yourself, I think I might shoot myself as everyone has the ability to fit such parts. :lol: (Really not a laughing matter :))

I have a LHS mirror from a K3 650s you can have for nowt - Not sure if it's the same, it looks it from the pictures. It's got some light scratches on the back of it, but if you need to get back on the road asap, you are more than welcome to it - PM me.
