Is my bike a Cat D ?

Following on from my Hit and Run described here http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=42193

I acquired the necessary parts to get the bike roadworthy.

While fitting the indicator I noticed this

Now I know the triple-clamp can be replaced but there is the smallest of indents to the actual frame lock-stop.

Will this make the vehicle a cat D ?

only if someone spots it

Nah. Wee dent's nothing. And you only get written off when you're getting damage assessed for insurance, if that's not happened then you're fine.

i'll be making a full claim when i get back from holiday.

Will they just write it off as a cat d ?

It's a 2 month old bike

if they do buy it back for next to nowt and bank the cash off the insurance claim theres nowt wrong with a cat D anyhow.

only resale value but if you price realisticly that no prob either.

They won't cat D it just for that, I bet you a pound. Maybe as a result of the other damage, all combined, but not specifically for that.

if the repair would cost 50% or more of the bikes value, it will normally go cat D at that age. and they will normally give you a brand new replacement bike, as you are within the bikes first 6 months.
