I got bored and started painting.. (pictures)

Picked up some Ceramic Enamel in Low Gloss Black (Semi-Flat, identical to the frame color on new SVs). I prepped and sprayed my passenger pegs, stock can, and ring around the guages on my 06'

I'm gonna do the rearsets tonight, just got too damn hot last night. I didn't do the ring around the headlight because I have some dual lamps and flyscreen coming from a Buell XB12 tomorow.

The stock grenade launcher looks better now, in my opinion but is still pretty heinous, I'm going for a new can next chunk of money I get but it'll do for now.

Also, take note that I only have one third eye mirror on, as I went to get a money order right quick and when I came back out the right one was missing, odd.

Given due time I will black out as much as I can, such as fork legs and yokes and whatnot, because blacked out is best...

I like that!

Well done.

Where did you get the paint from?

I'm thinking of doing both sets of pegs, rider and pillion. And since it looks great on yours, I hope you don't mind me copying.

By all means copy, I copied spraying the ring around the guages off someone else anyway, haha.

As far as materials I used, around a 400 or 600 grit paper to prep, then cleaned that with Goo-Gone and wiped dry.

The paint I used was a Spray-On Ceramic Enamel, dubbed "Engine Enamel" in Automobile Stores. It's high temp rated to 500 degrees Farenheight. I bought it an Auto-Zone, but any car shop should have it.

A couple other brands have some stuff exactly the same if you can't find that.

I need some assistance in getting the damn rearsets off. I couldn't quite figure it out.

You just need to cover the blue then your bike will go faster

Just because so many people hate on the 06' Blue, I'm keeping it and even buying a color matched chin spoiler.

Maybe even matching leathers and helmet.

(leathers and helmet is a lie, even I couldn't get away with that one)

Do the forks, number one priority!

Did you really paint it? Or just turn out the lights?
