Bikesafe, Shrewsbury, Free!

Hi

A mate has just called to tell me that Bikesafe is currently being offered for free in Shrewsbury and has promptly booked us both on for Saturday. No idea how many places and dates might still be available - my mate had the impression it hadn't been advertised very well so they are thin on numbers.

Call 01743 253260 and speak to Amy, is the thing to do, if interested, apparently.

It's an 8:30 start, couple of hours in the classroom then several out on the road, so I'm told.

Rob

£30 at The Warren (near croydon) with Lunch.

Shrewsbury is in Shropshire (more or less West Midlands, 9miles from welsh border) - I may tell my dad about this and get him to give them a call. :)

Booger that then. Too far for me. Would cost a bit in fuel. Mind you, I've heard these bikesafe days are dangerous. You could come off you bike!

Worcester, Kidderminster, Bridgnorth then Shrewsbury. Fair haul from Hampshire, especially as you then have to do a full days rideout.

Seems a shame that spaces are going begging. Well worth doing.

For crashing?! Nice one. I got about 5 of them in that case!

How is the bike, all fixed?

When the Policeman came and dropped the stuff I had left at the classroom he also dropped off the bikesafe kit with certificate... He did say i should come do another day once im back up and running tho and for £30 (including a decent lunch and pudding) i prob will.

Bike is all good now, sorted last night with a bolt through the gear selector arm. its a bit high so i keep knocking into Neutral but ill change that once i get home.
