newb - advice on film protectors

Hi there folks, just joined today but been lurking around a bit. Great site for SVs!

Have got back into biking this summer after accident last year. And have an SV650s... have purchaes some crash bungs and now was wondering what anyone thought/advice for protective films you can get.

(sorry if this is repeat, did try a search on forum)

Found two sites rhino protect & invisible film. Has anyone tried these and are they worth the money?

Cheers :)

No tried those two. But I have some film on my tank made by a company called "Ventureshield" I am very pleased with it. Its virtually invisable. Its a bit pricey though. Also It was a bugger to stick onto the tank. I've manged to get a fingerprint or two in it.

Just take your time fitting it and I'm sure you'll make a better job of it than I did.

Found the site. Seems like InvisibleFilm.co.uk I was looking at just distributes Venturashield. Will check them out. Thanks

Is there something available of this nature for forks? (Since this seems to be the most corrodable thing on the SV)

You can buy Ventureshield and 3M film in rolls instead of in precut shapes, could be ideal for you... Or Motrax sell clear sheets much the same, but thicker.

I have some tankslappers!

Seems to work ok, but I've had some of the sheets come off when they get wet and get crap under them.
