(1) Why do a cliff-hanger backflip & a no-handed backflip to no-handed landing tie for bronze ?

(2) Why does an amazing whip / nak nak backflip only get a silver ?

Great post as i never get to see Xgames anymore and if i do catch it on the off chance its some really pitiful snowboarding or something equaly unimpressive.

I remember sitting up all night watching the vert skateboard best trick, when Tony Hawks landed the 9... But half the time, when I tuned into the X Games it ended up being the rubbish trials events where there's miles of runnign follows by an abseil and some kayaking... Or worse, rollerblading. I'm sure it's very skilled, it's just so boring to watch.

I love that the firs tthing he says to his mum is "I'm sorry". Never satisfied, mums :)

Apparently he'd promised her faithfully that he wouldn't attempt it again.

BTW - did anyone check the other Pastrana videos -

(1) Him showing 'us' around his 'backyard' - about the same size as the New Forest I think !!

(2) Him winning Gold in the X Games Rallying event (new this year) - serious driving in a Scooby WRX !!
