Is Rob from Berringhton Smith still around

Hi ,

Need to get my 11K service and trying to get hold of Rob from Berrington Smith but with no luck - is he still around as he was by far the best place I had my bike serviced.

no, alas he went back to S Africa a few months ago

 thats no good - back to expensive services

Any ideas of where I could go instead - I phoned West London Suzuki , then seem nice enough although quoted 'around 200' for a 11K service which seems a bit on the high side .

Get thee to Hein Gerrick and buy 5 litres of oil,and a filter and a curvy air filter(they don't do the pointy one IIRC) and change the oil and filter yourself.£25.00 all in.Then sell the air filter for £10.00 as you don't need it.Check and lube your chain and cables and check all nuts and bolts for tightness.Look and see that your brake pads have meat on them. It's all easy and can be done for 10% of dealer price.

Don't think he has much meat on his brake pads...

:D I tried to change the pads yesterday , but Hein Gerrick sold me two front left brake pads which I only found out when I took the front right one off  and the Torque wrench I bought is too powerful to measure the correct torque to put the brakes back on properly. I think I will let a shop deal with it now :?

Hello Bud ,

Looks like you thoroughly enjoyed your first track day.

I was the guy with the sh*tty looking curvy with a huge yellow topbox on the back. We met at Essential Rubber. Recall?

Cheers
Ben

Yup , remember you and your sh**ty bike indeed

Track day was a blast - thinking of going up again on Saturday assuming I can get me brakes fixed in time
