Alot of the threads and posts go back to Wednesdays so looks like we havnt missed much because of the forum dying.

Nice one on getting the forum back so quickly TSM :thumbsup:

Glad to see the site back up and running.........................but where have all the posts since Wednesday gone? All those lovely digs at Peter Henry.............lost in the ether :D

To quote the front page...

Chances are when the server died it lost some of the most recent data or that backups only went back to Wednesday. I'm sure we'll get an update soon

Ah well, I'm sure people will be more than happy to re-post all the missing stuff................can't let PH off the hook, can we :wink:

I'm just glad to see the forums back :D

The last backup was two days old, hence the rollback in time.

It appears we had a memory leak on the old server and this forum was probably the culprit. TSM was still trying to get to the bottom of it when it died.

We shared the previous server with commercial sites, who paid hard cash for the service and we were bringing them down with us. We had to move before we were pushed.

I dont beleave that any of the data has been lost from the other forum, so if it comes up today, i may replace the current forum data with the original stuff, unfortunatly i cant merge forums so it will replace anything that has been posted since.

If its not a major bother i can just leave it.

Anyway this is now hosted somewhere else, on a server that i have more control over, so hopefully it will be a little faster and stable. (crosses fingers hoping).
