Deer watch *** Update***
 

Just a quick note to anyone riding in the kinross/glenfarg/strathmiglo/auchtermuchty/newburgh areas just now.

Been lots of sightings of deer wandering the roads - especially in the glenfarg/newburgh areas.

Be very careful around 8pm onwards as this is the time they get most active apparently.

Update from local farmer.

Please be extra careful on these roads just now as they are literally swarming with young red deer. The hot weather in July has depleted their natural feed so the deer are moving down to low ground to graze. They are approaching the rutting season so they are easily startled and prone to jumping onto roads (loud exhausts and the like)
