bike lowering

has anybody arond here went the whole way towards lowering an svs for a short **** (dog bones/seat/forks dropped?)iv reshaped my seat and lowered it /scooped some foam out for my other half ,but its still not enough .she says its still too tall for her (5'2)and is not confident on it (putting feet down /stopping etc) sooooooooo rather than buy her something else it may be worthwhile fitting dog bones and generally making it as low as poss.has this been done around here?? .i think doing this'll b enough but i dont want to do it if im just wasting time/money.any ideas/comments ??

Have a word with Ping because she seems to have a low bike
Alternatively buy her a grow bag

scooby's sv is very low. or buy her a raptor. i can reach ground with both feet flat

Buy her a pair of Daytona Ladystar boots, they have built up soles and are excellent boots.

I'm 5'1" tall and have little legs. My SV was very very lowered. Another option is to change the exhaust for something lighter. I put a Hindle full system on my sv and it made a huge difference - it was light enough that I could comfortably move it about!

You can drop the front and the back, and get longer dogbones.

Good luck!!

If you have'nt already, back off your front and rear pre-load as it will give more sag when she sits on it.

Write down your settings so you can boost them back up to "fatty" when you use it,so you don't wobble and understeer into the nearest hedge!!

He wants to lower it properly so he can sweeten up the missus, pass on the SV and get something else for himself.

Ain't that right Jimbo?

I put the OEM gel seat on mine, which lowers the bum enough that I could put another inch of ride height into it :) That (or homemade) and a set of dogbones, and a wee bit of height off the front, gives you a fair old drop. Quedos might still have the "custom", ie mutilated :) seat that came with hers? t'd be ideal for a trial run, and the dogbones aren't too pricey, around £30 is normal IIRC but if it doesn't work out they'll sell on no probs.

Upgrade from that lawnmower, eh? :) If that roof's strong enough to swing the bike off, idogbones are an easy job... Or you can borrow my abba stand to do it, if I ever get it back off Matt ;)
