Extracts from an interview on Al-Jazeera :
http://switch3.castup.net/cunet/gm.a...050wmv&ak=null I am only posting this link because I am impressed by this US Psychologist's eloquence and "balls". Translated TV programmes through the Middle East showing alternative views of the world(easy to understand why the UN is weary of some of the armament some of these nations poses or would like to poses): http://www.memritv.org/ And how about these for brainwashing? U rating? http://www.memritv.org/Search.asp?ACT=S5&P1=165 |
I've previously seen the first link. She says a lot of truth but of of course that's not the whole story.
The other links which I have really had a good look at , Brain washing? Looks like doesn't it. Am I shocked? No and not saying I agree with anything I've seen so far on the links but similar happens every where in the world  Cheers Ben |

When I watch Spanish news is very differnt from USA or UK news.
Blood and guts all over the place. In uk news you see bang...in Spanish news you see what happens to a body when it goes bang. Maybe if we had this footage then the general public would be less inclined to go to war at the say so of our king. |

But I dont think we [the general public] could have been any less inclined to go war than we already were. Unfortunately however the armed forces take their commands from our politicians who did want to go to war. :? |
There is a saying somewhere, that war is fought on the front line in the boonies, and not by the people who actually started the war in the first place! thousands of miles away.

With a Female academic saying stuff...eye opening. I doubt if UK public will go easily to war again. |

Democracy as it stands currently sucks balls imho. Once every few years we get to vote in the lesser of 2 or 3 evils and then we have to abide by every decision they make. Whether its good for us as a public or not. This current govt listens more to big business than it ever will to the public. Sadly. |

But in truth, I thought this Government only ever listened to itslef (and believes what it hears too). . |
Crikey. That wasn't quite what I expected. I'm not sure I agree with her comments that only Muslims destroy churches (which I understand she means places of worship as opposed to specifically christian churches) - the Sikhs and Hindus are aften having a go at each other but less publicity is garnered.
Marks to the TV channel for showing it, tho it was obviously cut. And of course, we (sorry, I meant "I") don't actually know how accurate the translation is I must admit, I wonder how many people objected to the war as a backlash against Blair/Bush. I'm not saying it was right or wrong, but I do think people can say or do things for the wrong reasons sometimes. I wish there was some really obvious effort to repair the infrastructure of Iraq - make sure everyone has clean running water, sewerage, electricity etc. |
