Work faux pas

This guy at work just posted this to one of our main newsgroups instead of replying to his mate by mistake! Made me laugh especially the bit towards the end!

Quote:

Hey good to hear from you man,

London is good, damn expensive though, maybe not as expensive as Dublin but there's just so much stuff to do which is great but my god the amount of money I've burnt through in the last 2 months, thank god for my generous parents and my Dad's savy business sense. No sl*tty English girls since last talking to you. I did end up getting a number of one girl but I was so drunk at the time I can't remember anything about it. She actually wanted to meet me again on her last day in London but long story short I couldn't meet her.
What's the plan for Electric Picnic? I'm flying in on Thursday night so I was thinking we head off on Friday. All in Fergal's car? There's some good stuff on Friday so we should head early especially to get a reasonably good site for our tents and don't forget the DRINK! I've become known as the stereotypical Irish drunk at work, flying the flag for our nation.

Work is going well in that I do nothing all day. I swear to god, I started and I did all the runner stuff and I wasn't that busy but now they've employed two more runners who do everything I used to do, its not boring though since I can chat to the artists and directors, mess with tools and youtube. So how's Dol by the way? That Dan and Doll stuff is great stuff you should definitely keep it up.
I'd better get back to youtube,

Take it anyway you can get it,"
He has since been made to make everyone on his floor (around 100 people) a cup of tea, seeing as he doesn't have that much to do at the moment

pmsl.
Hope the bosses either never see it or they have a great sense of humour.

he's probably lucky still to have a job - given that he's got nothing to do. I'm very busy 8-[

Quality.
A few years ago a colleague messed up a message that he meant to sent to a mate at another desk. It was a simple and succinct "F*** off!". Unfortunately due to the way the server he was on at the time was set up, not only did it send the message to the named person, but also all of our clients who were hosted on the machine.

One of the clients actually rang up saying, "The ASP Server just told us to **** off." It was hard not to laugh...

Christ.
He is right about one thing though. Dublin is retardedly expensive. Completely, unfeasabley, stupidly expensive. I dont know how anyone lives there.

If you want to spend 8 Euro on a bleeding cup of coffee, go to a country where they at least have hot chicks knocking about. Like Norway. Or Denmark.

Actually, its probably more expensive than Copenhagen. It scares the crap out of me, and I have to go back at some point.

Oh yeah, he is a south sider dub, right? Emm. I bet he is from Dalkey/Killiney. (D4 would be the next guess)

 ooops  ... wonder how long he will keep his job?

Red ones 16-08-06 07:45 PM

He will probably next fall for the "Reply to All" mistake.

I did! Reviewing some print copy, replied "yea, you're right. I thought it looked f***ing sh**e too"

No comment from the submitter for 2 days, then out of the blue a revised copy. I replied., "Love it! Just what I had in mind." (I actually thought it was also f***ing sh**e, but didn't think I could object again)

Top marks on him keeping his job for the sake of a few cups of tea - lucky boy! :smt103

I very much doubt he will lose his job! At work, there are no real managers (in the traditonal sense) or the usual corporate bumflufferies. Everyone saw the funny side, though I'm sure someone will make sure he is a little busier from now on!
