My first wet ride
Well, I did it.
I finally plucked up the courage and took my bike out for a ride about 5 mins after it had rained. The roads were still soaking wet and I thought I would just go for it. And you know what? It wasn't as bad as I first thought that it might be. That was my first time that I have ever ridden with any sign of water on the ground. The next step is to take it out while it is still raining. I'm on a high now. :D |
Well done
I am sure you will get plenty more opportunities to practice  I don't mind riding in the wet so long as I have the right gear on - it is just having to clean the bike afterwards that is a pain in the @rse |
Just remember to tuck your gloves inside your jacket sleeves. I filled my waterproof gloves with water loads of times before I worked that out.

ok i'll be quiet  |
i got no confidence in the wet, since i crashed my aprilia rs125 on the horseshoe pass pushing it too much when it was hammering it down, was getting some confidence back today when i opened it up toomuch and the rear stepped straight out on me! just take it easy in the wet, no unecessary risks like you'd take in the dry

my standard sv rear dunlop step'd out on me afew nights back on a island in the DRY.

4 day of my DAS it was throwing it down... I learn't very quickly that gloves and boots fill up...
Congrates on your first wet ride! |
