Just watched and Rossi proved that he is up to putting the pressure on Nickey. Should be a great race tomorrow. Rossi would have to win all the races to have a chance at catching Nickey,unless Nickey has a problem. For now team USA is looking good. :D

rossi really wants this! and how about roberts jr showing up all the factory hondas!

Valentino Rossi set the stage for an epic race at the Brno Circuit, taking pole position with a late surge in the dying stages of the qualifying session.

The Camel Yamaha rider, fastest in practice this morning, cut 1.3 seconds off the 2005 pole time.

Second place went to Loris Capirossi, who had looked to be on course for the first spot on the grid having broken the 1'57 barrier, followed by Kenny Roberts Jr on the front row.

Nicky Hayden, Shinya Nakano and Toni Elias rounded off the top six, with the third row comprising of John Hopkins, Colin Edwards and Dani Pedrosa, less than a second off Rossi's time.
