Can I swap naked pegs and hangers onto a faired bike?

Hi guys,

I am on the quest to make my bike more comfortable at the moment and I would like to lower my pegs.

Has anyone got any experience of swapping rider pegs and hangers from a naked bike onto a faired one?

Or am I wasting my time and should I just be looking at getting adjustable rearsets?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Cheers

No - Adjustable rearsets will enable the pegs to go backwards and upwards, not downwards

Although Suzuki say the pegs are in a different position on faired and naked bikes, in practice I can't see any difference :-k

No, for me it's the other way 'round. In fact I've got one of each on my naked curvey. There is so little difference that I honestly don't notice it, and I reckon you wouldn't either.

If you like cornering then its possable that the nakid pegs will ground out a little earlier than the faired.

I may be wrong, but I thought pegs on faired curvey's were an inch (or there abouts) further back and up than the pegs on a nekkid.

They are.

Aha, now I was just taking Mr Suzukis word for the fact that the pegs were lower.

I was under the impression that some rearsets could be adjusted down the way, anybody who has got some know?

I bought some Valter-Moto jack up plates from Demon-Tweeks,turned them upside down, ground them down a bit to fit, they worked a treat.my knees then fit into the indents on the tank(im 6 ft 3.)
p.s,i've got a unfaired curvey(misses!!)

Being 6ft5, I might need to get lower foot pegs for ex-krhall's silver pointy S.

Click Here for photos of the pointy naked, and
Click Here for photos of the pointy S.

Looking at the side-on pics and comparing them, you can see the naked's foot pegs sit roughly level with the bottom of the swingarm, close to the lower foot peg bolt.

The S foot pegs, however, are roughly level with the middle of the swingarm axis and are further away from the lower bolt, so that the two bolts and the peg form a triangle.

The question now is...

They LOOK as if they are interchangeable, but ARE they interchangeable?

And, of course, does anyone want to sell or swap their K3 naked footpegs for my K3 S pegs, if I find they get uncomfortable?

I'll find out how they feel after I pick up krhall's silver pointy on Thur 28th, and will decide then!

I like food, 's fantastic innit :rabbit:

They will bolt straight on mate. They are different heights, the 'N' models are a little lower and further forward when compared to the 'S' model.

Do you have a Curvy ('99-'02) or a Pointy ('03 onwards) SV650S?
