Turning an 04 sv650 into 04 sv650s

Get some clip on handlebars, or just the fornt end from an sv650s.

Buy a fairing set off ebay. Change the rear sprocket one size up and your done. (I think) :P

also rewire the loom for the headlights, front subframe = gets expensive. Sell bike and get a faired one already.

For the full "S" experiance you will need:
Rear sprocket 1 tooth less than current
Both left & Right foot peg assembelys
Clip ons
Top Yoke (For clip ons)
Fairing sub frame
Fairing including headlight, mirrors etc.
Any wiring loom *editing* needed

It really isn't worth it, either sell your bike and buy an "S" or just get an after market screen of some sort

That's the one!

I tried reversing it the other day (and I'm not talking about going backwards :p). Not too hard to take it apart and mount a headlight, but then you need to make a bracket for the speedo and it just becomes unnecessary hassle.

As said before, take it back and get an S version. You won't regret it. Unless of course you've become accustomed to the nice high bars. :)

Manily Im just looking to change the front of the bike so, ill need, clip ons, top yoke fairings, wiring correct?

A wiring loom can be picked up for $20 on ebay and I'm sure you could find a spare front fairing rolling around somewhere on there too. Subframe is the only other real thing you need, besides the stuff you've mentioned.

Good luck with it, if you wanted to try and be really clever you could just find a way to fab some mounting points on your frame and fiddle around with your existing subframe.

Hope it goes well and doesn't end in tears. :D

I can get these parts at a local dealership, or should I try and get them else where. The main reason I need to re do the front end is because I saw a fairing kit for the bike and need to change the front headlight ect.
