Working on a Bank Holiday - a rant...
 

Time to start job hunting ASAP!

It's bad enough that I'm working when i could be doing any number of better things with my bank holiday, but to make matters worse I've got some new guy playing some sh*te that apparently passes for music these days on his mobile phone, and some spotty-faced little oik who's barely out of high school & has been doing this job for a few years less than me has been chosen to supervise. I swear if he second-guesses me on a fault or tries to tell me how to do my job one more time I'm going to be looking for a new cellmate, never mind a new job!!!!! :evil: :evil:

If you go on like that, you'll take several years off your life....

The secret is this: irrespective of whether they are tossers or not, you are getting paid - which is why you work (if you had the money, you wouldn't).

So smile beatifically at your new "boss", agree with all he says, compliment your colleague on his taste in music, hum quietly to yourself and pass the day with a smile on your face. Do your job, do what you are asked.

You will go home happy, and ready to fight another day.....and it will drive them bonkers.... :lol:

I also had to work today.Twelve hour shift for which I got basic money and the grand total of seven and a half hours extra leave in lieu of the Bank Holiday.Crap innit?

all I can say it sucks that you had to work today.. :grouphug:

I wont make you feel worse by telling you we went and did 1000 sheep road today ;)

Tech support for a security company, so it's a 24 hr operation.

I'm feeling much calmer about things now seeing as I managed to blag my way into finishing an hour early :lol:

Anna - no fair, I'm very jealous now, I still haven't been on THAT road! :( Not that you'd try & wind me up or anything, of course... :wink:
