Reak Brake Lights

Does anyone know how i can adjust the rear brake pedal so that the brake light comes on with earlier. at the moment i have to really stamp on it before the light comes on. It can be quite dangerous with the engine braking on my sv, and a little bit of rear brake and no brake light to warn the cagers behind. Is a naked curvy. thanks all.

The switch is fully adjustable- it's up the inside of the frame, above the lever, and you'll find it attached to the lever by a long spring. There's a plastic nut on it that you can turn to adjust the sensitivity. I've done the same as you want to, and set mine to come on before the braking starts- technically an MOT fail I think, but it makes good sense on teh road.

Mine is set the same, easy enough to rectify for an MOT, but safer on the road.
