The international photo fair is on in Köln, Germany 26/9 - 1/10 and am thinking of taking a trip. Flights cost in excess of £200 from Edin so am thinking of riding. Anyone want to join me? Got any tips as I've not been over?

Got friends in Kent so will ride down there, stay the night then then Dover - Calais and up to Köln

I've a couple of weeks of at the end of Sept / beginning of Oct and was planning a wee jaunt somewhere. Wouldn't mind doing Germany, but not sure I'd want to spend too long in Cologne - or indeed any one place.

Perhaps we should have a chat.

Best price I have seen for a ferry from Dover is £45 return.
716 miles each way (add 10% for getting lost :lol: )
@ an ave 45 mpg that is 133 litres of fuel return
+ approx £50 for hotels (got a friend in the industry :wink: )
+ beer money ...
