Clutch adjustment question??

I have just had my bike in for it's 4000 mile service a couple of weeks ago. When i picked it up i noticed that the clutch adjustment seemed to leave very little slack in the cable. I thought nothing of it for a while and came to the conclusion that it may have stretched since the last service and i had just become used to a slacker lever. However now we are a couple of weeks on and it seems as if there is way too much slack and the biting point is now less than half a lever pull from the bars!! Is it possible that the cable has stretched that far in a couple of weeks or is it more likely that the adjustment was loose and has workes itself slacker. The main reason for asking is that i hope i am not about to experience a snapped clutch cable!!

Any thoughts would be grealy recieved

Thanks

Jools

your clutch adjustment is under the sprocket cover, it's a locknut & screw

first you have to make sure that is adjusted properly, the adjusters on each end of the cable are cable adjusters,

Thanks for the tips.

Anyone have any ideas why this might have happened over a couple of weeks and 600 miles of riding?

Well, it's part of the official Suzuki service manual that every service should include the mechanics moving the clutch position for no reason at all, just so you nearly crash in the car park... Could be connected.
