where to buy carb jets and shims
...as per title.
Further to my earlier thread i was also considering upjetting and de-snorkelling the bike. Anybody done it and how difficult is it ?? |
PDQ sell DJ jets, they're about £3 a pair and they deliver really fast. Shims, not sure... Euro needles are slotted like DJ ones so you don't need them unless you want to do a half-step.

Or Wemoto do the Mikuni ones.
|
So if i upped the jets to mains to 145 and the pilots to 17.5, it wont need the shims? and would it be ok to run the bike without the snorkel with just a baffleless slip on?? also how difficult is it ??
Sorry for all the q's but it's my bday soon and i want to get it sorted before i do my mallory trackday :D |
How long have you had the can on. Was the bike running okay previously.
Personally I'll check the air filter/plugs to confirm they are ok , then stick it on a dyno to check the air/fuel ratio. You could be trying to resolve a non-existent issue. I also wouldn't bother with de-snorkelling. Cheers Ben |

Fair enough :)
Oh when you have the bike Dynoed, make sure you get a print out of air/fuel ratio and curve. I'm sure there will be peeps on here that are good at reading Dyno graphs. Cheers Ben |
