Where to cut the exhaust? CCC fitment.
My CCC can has arrived, although the instructions do not state where to cut the original one off. Does anyone know where I should make the cut?
I don't want to go wrong with this vital stage and would appreciate any tips/help or clear instructions. Thanks very much, Tim PS recently returned from a 3600km trip on the SV round the Alps, including the highest road in Europe, full story and pics will follow when I get time, as v busy trying to move back to blighty. |
An inch (or 2.54cm) from the weld should be sufficient, any probs, call CCC (Ahh may be expensive as you are in Belgium!)
You really can't go wrong, I would say not to go any nearer than 1 inch. But you can always do it a bit further away. Go on do it... It will sound wonderful! |
I'll be fitting it when I'm back in the UK, so will give them a call. But an inch from the weld sounds like a good starting point.
Cheers, Tim |
I was told 45mm
you don't say if it's a high-level, but I'd err towards a bit longer if it is, to save your boot heels from melting <grrrr> |
Went for low level oval stainless model for the curvy as I still want to fit throw overs for longer trips.
So 25-45mm from the weld, any more bids? |
