Exhaust Fitting Pt II

Right, got home last night. Attached exhaust. Getting hte neck brace on was a bit tricky. AS you can see i the picture I've attached the exhaust to the outside of the pillion's right rear foot peg. Wanted to get it on the inside but it was a bit too fiddly. Maybe once the neck brace has had time to shape to the exhaust.

The instructions said to cut the original exhaust 50mm from the weld join. I think that's too much. 45mm seems to be what other exhaust manufacturers have stated & that would get the new shiny bit (name escapes me) nearer to the weld.

Just ridden my bike 5 miles & it sounds sweet with the baffle IN. Haven't tried it without.

The exhaust is giving off a fully plasticy smell which I'm hoping is the silicon sealent. But apart from that it's all sweet. Can't stop revving at all teh red lights I stop at.

Why haven't you fitted the springs?

Why haven't you fitted the clamp?

It looks pants on the outside of the pillion peg, fit it inside.

oops!

Figured that as I'm a bloke I didn't need to follow the instructions. Wondered what I was going to do with the spare bits.

Will fix tomorrow when I'm back from my little jaunt.
