14v replacement bulbs?

Hi chaps and chapess's.
Where do I get 14v 0.84w instrument panel bulbs for my curvy SK1 or am I missing something here?

You have a 14Volt system on your curvy?

The lengths some folk will go to, just to be different

If you're stuck get the bulbs from Suzuki, on something that small it's not gonna break the bank.

I'm just going by the Haynes service manual (section 9.2 instrument lights 14v 0.84w x 3) but after being laughed out of Halfords I'm open to advice here.

Strange - I never noticed that. 14volt only on the S models of the curvy!

I wouldn't worry a great deal about it though. I had never noticed the spec and replaced the lamps in my curvy with 12volt ones.

It may be that Suzuki specced 14 volts for those 3 lamps and the indicators purely to make sure they lasted long enough to get out of the warranty period!

Thanks for that I'll get some bulbs tomorrow........It was starting to become a real pain, riding at night with a torch in my mouth so I could see what speed I was doing........ :D

I have no idea what I'm talking about here, but perhaps this is because the Reg./Rect. on these models was known for allowing a brief spell of more than 12v in the system. If this happens & your bulbs are rated at 12v, you buy new bulbs whenever there's a power spike.

Where to get them from though, I have no idea!

If I was going to teh trouble of delving into the instruments I'd be tempted to see if there are LEDs available to suit. These seem to have examples of most fitments
