Race exhaust passed MOT
Hi guys, just had my bike's MOT and while I was sitting there in the waiting room my heart sank when I realised I'd forgotten to swap my race can over for my standard one...
Then to my surprise I was told the bike passed. It's a Micron exhaust (Oval shaped, though I don't know if it's THE Oval) but doesn't have 'Not for Road Use' stamped on it either... Is it possible that it's actually more legal than not? :? I'm confudled. |
It's possible you have a realistic (or sympathetic) MOT centre who realise that if they fail you for a loud exhaust, you may just take it to the one round the corner who will pass it. Hence they turn a "deaf ear" to the rorty sound.

... But they failed my car a month or so before... Cost me in total £300 to get it passed...
I know them and they know me... They wouldn't pass it if it breached any rules. |

With BS stamp it'll pass and this is what the rozzers are looking for. An unmarked can they'll probably accuse you of altering it in some way. |
what razor said. :D
My sv passed, all i did was put black tape over the "not for road use" bit. |
