Arai Viper GT - anyone got one?

Quite like the idea of this. Got all the features one would need too. Any others I should be looking at?

Cheers,

John

I was looking at these especially the Haslam with the angel and devil paint job. Didn't fit well because of some nose piece that was getting in the way. It was removable but why pay the extra to remove part of it. Ended up with the chaser, much more comfortable, £75 cheaper and very happy with the Pedrosa paint.

i have the viper gt, the haslam rep i love it fits my head perfectly, light weight, wind noise is a bit loud though

i've got one and i had a similar problem with the nose peice but a breath deflector from a shoei xr-1000 sorted that! i went for the Aoyama rep and i'm very pleased! i also tried the Chaser and almost bought it with the blue camoflage paint job but i'm glad i got the Viper!

Just bought a Viper-GT (Haslam Rep.) I had my sights set on a Ti-Tech but I saw the viper and thought hey why not try it. With a load of help from the guy at hein-gericke he replaced the cheek pads for some slightly larger ones and its quite possibly the best and most comfy helmet iv'e ever owned! Quite pricy at £399, I usually stay around the £250 mark but god is it worth it.... hopefully i'll never have to proove how good it really is!

I just got myself a Viper GT web  , i was looking to spend around £200 but saw hein gericke had 0% finance on them so thought bugger it £400 in small chunks sounds better :p . Its probly the best fitting helmet i've tried and had. Looks the bizz too, i love the web design. Very pricey but worth it, can't put a price on your head so buy the best you can get!!!

I tried a few helmets on over the last few weeks and have ordered a Viper-Gt 'Sensu' colours off the net yesterday. Can't wait to receive it!

I'm pretty impressed with the service so far from the web dealer, ordered it yesterday afternoon, I've had a call this morning to check it really was me that ordered it and to confirm my address and they said it should be with me tomorrow. Bargain price at £280 too.

Not sure if I should post where it's from, is it ok to? Otherwise PM me if you fancy knowing where you can get one that cheap from! (They have all colours and sizes too). I just hope I'm not counting my chickens too soon and it turns up in bits or something! :smt103

Well, I received my spanky new Viper-GT yesterday. :D My head size is halfway in between a small and medium and after trying a few on in shops I ordered a small on the premise that it would give a little after a few uses.

It came well packaged in two boxes, lots of bubble wrap etc and at first I wondered whether there was anything in the box cos it was so light! :smt051

I have got the 'Sensu' colours which I think are lovely (references to japanese themes in the design which I like after visiting Japan last year). It is a little tight at the moment to get on and off, but very comfortable and quiet once on.

I was a little worried that I hadn't ordered from a 'reputable dealer' because there was no 'dealer stamped' warranty card in the box but I have spoken to them this morning and they said that Arai are no longer printing them. Apparently the warranty is now with the dealer and evidenced by the receipt I have. Apparently dealers didn't want Arai to know names / addresses of customers so the warranty is only through the dealer now, not back to Arai  Does this sound familiar to anyone or should I be worried?

I think it's ok because the helmet is obviously fine and has a manufacture date of 09/06, all seems in order. So, I am a happy man with a nice shiny helmet! :)

Ordered my new Viper GT sat, the one with the union jack and check flag, its sat in hein gerrick waiting for me to pick it up now, can't wait!

Currently riding with an Arai Astro and can't fault it, they are perhaps a little expensive but when it comes to lids i don't think you can worry too much about saving pennies when it could save you.
