Insurance Quote - Opinions required Urgently!!
Advice wanted...
I'm 28, had the SV for a year and my licence for a year Got a garage, ground anchor, monster lock. Previously ensured it with e-bike on a month by month basis, paying £65 a month (well over £700 pa). Now I want to start riding more often and thought of getting insurance for a year. I figured that I need to get some NCD behind me, and not intending on making a claim I got the following quote from Hastings, which is about the best I've found so far. Here are the credentials: Summary of Cover Address Bradford,West Yorkshire Occupation IT Consultant Insurer Advantage Insurance Company Limited Bike Details SUZUKI SV 650 S Bike Value £1,501 - £2,000 Annual Mileage 2000 - 2999 Cover Period 16/09/06 - 15/09/07 Permitted Drivers Insured Only Type of Cover Third party fire and theft Type of Use Social, Domestic, Pleasure, and Commuting No-Claim Bonus 0 Year Riding other bikes Yes Green Card No Legal Protection No Voluntary Excess £0 Fire & Theft Excess £ 350 Premium - (without IPT) £ 214.09 Insurance Premium Tax £ 10.7 Legal Protection £ 0 Premium £ 224.79 Do you guys think that this is a decent price? (FC with the same Fire and Theft access and £200 accidental damage excess was £491 - more than double) Any one with similar predicaments/prices I would be glad to here from. finally it is with Hastings, and the quote is only valid for today    |

Also take the Legal insurance - its only a few quid but is worth every penny if you have a dispute. Also consider excess insurance :) David |
I have almost exactly the same circumstances as you except I live in London and I am looking at least £450. Most places try it on for £600.

Got a quote from them, comes to £243 without legal cover for TPFT, and a compulsory excess of £250, so that's about the same I think? thanks for your advice though - much appreciated. 8) |

try autotrader.co.uk/bikes
then goto insurance and fill your details in, they will send your details to a few different companys who will contact you with qutoes via telephone or email. i did that, and got insurance cheap through A-quote this year . |
I just insured mine with H&R at a cost of £122 tpft
and best still they accept American Express  |
Hi there.
I am 29 and I have just insured my sv 650s through bennets. Its £248 per year fully comp and i havent even passed my test yet. Might be worth a call |
Its a good price to be honest. You may be able to beat, buts its how you value your time. I wouls stress that LEgal cover is a must with bike claims, it really is.
