would i have to rejet if i fitted a K&N panel to my 01 sv650. thanks

anyone know what the standard jet is in the 01 model and how many sizes i would need to go up for the filter. thanks

01s don't have panels

K3 onwards had a flat filter, I think, the K&N for the carbed is the same shape as standard. You could just about get away without rejetting, some people do OK like that, others don't. I had a noticable hesitation and flat spot with the K&N and a CCC road legal can...

BMC do a direct replacement washable filter that won't give you any more power, but won't need rejetting. Personally, I reckon that if you do average miles (officially 4000 a year) then standard's the way to go though. They filter better too.

If you want power, don't muck about with a K&N.
