Hear the drummer get wicked!
|
What's that out of? "Hear the drummer get wicked" I mean. I remember it from teh start of Powertrippin' by the Almighty but it sounds like a sample...

Northy....My nephew Mark recorded the track you mention using his then stage name of Chad Jackson. You might remember it has a saxophone lead to it?
It was kept off Nš1 spot in the charts in summer 1990 by some fat Italian geezer! Apparently Chad is listed as the producer of the track which sampled Public Enemy (vocals) and Mark The 45 King on Horn Loop and not sax as I thought it was. Here's my boy in a shot from the video hamming it up with a saxophone,(to my knowledge he can't play a note! :D ) http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/3041/chaduh8.jpg *The track was I believe originally recorded by someone else but cannot for the life of me remember who that was.* :? |

Now THERE was a drummer - probably the GREATEST drummer ever. I saw him live numerous times back in the 80's & had the privilege of meeting him twice - my drum teacher was a friend of his from back in the 50's. BTW Peter - Cozy Powell always was & always will be one the most overrated drummers in history !! |
The current drummer in Bodycount- I forget the name- is pretty phenomenal... Very technically skilled, but also a great showman, I saw him doing a solo which was musically as good as any I've seen, but with all manner of old-school stick tricks. Very cool
