indecater help
i have just got a set of after market indicaters, do i have to cut the original wires or do they unclip somewhere? :help:
|
i cant see anywhere they unclip??? please let me know b4 i cut the wire
|
They plug into a small grey connector, you'll probably have to cut and re-solder the connections anyway.

yeah mate they do, i personally havn't done the back end b4 but i asume you will need to take the undertray out and there will be a little conectoe there someware its just a matter of locating it, for the front end the only time i have undone them it when i took of the fairing, and by the look of it that would almost be the only way of doing it, you might be able to do it without taking it off but would prob be hard work!
but like i said i have never done the back end myself so i stand corrected if some1 knows better!! |
thanx... ill check again
ps the new ones have male or female conectors |
There's a wee plug- What I do is remove the plug and chop it between the indicator and plug, then solder the plug onto the new indicator. You could crimp it, too, but I prefer to solder stuff like that.

Anyhoo, the front plugs are usualy stuffed up in/around the front fairing. A gentle tug is what is needed and the pug should fall down. As said above, cut the plug off, about 3-4inches from the plug, then solder the new wires to it. |
