Repairing a micron can...
UPS Couriers damaged an exhaust of mine that was in transit.
It's one of these 'Micron delta +' cans but I have absolutely no idea how to take it apart. Most exhausts you can drill out rivets etc but tis doesn't have any at all. Only two rubber straps at each end. I need to take it apart to take a large dent out.... Anyone got any ideas other than chucking it in the bin? :( http://www.avsco.co.uk/images/DELTA2.JPG |
Is there no chance of a replacement if it was damaged in transit?

It wasn't new. Ebay item. :(
But I'll get £50 compensation apparently. Anyway...found out how to do it....genius way of hiding any horrible rivets. Theres an allen key nut INSIDE the outlet, I'll give that a go. |
Ive got a micron can as well, i think if you look inside the exit of the exhaust, on the top there is a little cutout with an allen bolt there, take it out and you will be able to pull the endcap off then the rest of the can will come apart.
ps. Woops just read your last post properly. |

I took both rubber seals off and put them back on again. Bit of a squeeze but just putting saliva on the rubber and using a hammer lightly on the end cap and bobs your uncle. All done. Got to say I really quite like Microns now.
