1st wheelie

it wasn't that impressive but i was pleased. i got my front wheel off the ground about a foot...hoping to get better at it with time and paitence!!! if anyones interested i lern't off my m8 but i will try and explain how i done it...roll along in 1st gear at about 15mph...hold clutch in and rev to about 5000rpm as it gets there let clutch go quickly and up comes the front...all this has to happen with in about a second...hope i explained it well enough for all you other sv riders out there who want to learn!!!! i'll be happy to be told if there are other methods of getting the front wheel off the ground lol!!!!

What god of one-wheelness told you that method then? He sounds like an utter legend.

He's certainly infamous round these parts for his one wheel exploites*

I hope thay you wear more than trainers, jeans or combats and just a t shirt like the rest of the stunter nutcases!! Never been able to do a proper one with the clutch, I prefer the pillion method!! Get a suitable pillion (advise against it being your missus if you have one), engage first gear hammer throttle.......wait for 7k rpm and oooooh jeeeeeeeeeez up she comes! :D Only thing is it really knackers the forks and chain after a while, feel good though don't they.

i had a breif spell of doing small ones (wheelies) but i did think how i was punishing my poor sv so i stopped and just generaly ride like an idiot with two wheels on the black stuff. :D

Yep, I prefer kneedown antics. Much kinder on the bike and looks just as cool (especially with sparky sliders). But I do wish I could pop wheelies whenever I wanted.

Thanks for clearing that up - looks like jeans and trainers then!

Someone once said "Behind every successful stunter is a trail of broken bones and trashed bikes" :D
