Novembers TWO magazine-sv advert

Just got in from work to see my new TWO magazne on the door mat. A couple of pages in theres an advert with the title "The SV650 sport" and then a few bullet points about stuff like
- Up to 8 days track cover at £125 a year
- New sports styling
- Full fairing and single seat cowling.
- Free insurance
And some other stuff.

There is a website but i can't get connected WWW.suzukiSV650sport.co.uk.

Does anyone in the know have any info on what this is about, are they making a special edition 650 like they did with the thou in the gixer colours last year, or is it just some gimicky advertising?

Sounds to me like pretty much what they did with the 1000. Free bits that you might want anyway.

Dunno if £125 for cover for 8 trackdays is a good deal or not. Anyone else use trackday cover? Would've come in handy last time a dropped it.

Oooh, just spotted a gap in the market: Nurburgring cover! No one's offering that. I wonder why?

It says the sv will come with 1 years free insurance, then the £125 is the extra for the trackday cover but in the small print it says that you'll have £500 excess and it doesn't cover fairing or bodywork.

I saw that ad in Superbike but also couldn't access the link or find anything about it via Google, Suzuki website/dealers, etc - very odd!

BTW £125 for 8 days track cover is good - from looking into it before I seem to recall that you'd normally only get a day or two's cover for that, even with similar exclusions such as bodywork - basically it's your cover against writing the bike off or badly damaging engine, swingarm and other pricey bits

Aren’t you quick? I got my TWO yesterday and so far I only managed to unwrap it. :D

Yeah, so did I...........even though I cancelled my DD some time ago.
Pretty damn boring this month. As is the SV advert. Hope Suzuki did not go to an agency for that one!

I renewed my insurance with Express Insurance (their particular Suzuki Insurance Deal) and was offered 8 days track day cover for £125, which I believe could be added at anytime during the 12 months. Probably best to do it before you crash at Donington though :D

Yep, seen this ad as well in TWO but alas, I cant afford another bike :( Would love to have an SV back in the garage though :?

Just saw this yesterday; There's an advert (and small piece) about it in Fast Bikes too. From the looks of things, it's just a standard (K6) SV650, with a full fairing, seat cowl (no hugger or DB screen though) and a year's "free" insurance (Riders aged 21-69). Also the option of £125 for trackday insurance (up to 8 days a year).

Plus there are some photos of John Reynolds riding it, so it must be sporty. :)

Only available till the end of the year, but with no variant-specific parts, I can't see why you couldn't "build yer own" more cheaply- the list price of £5699 is almost SS600 territory...
