11,000 Mile Service (K4 Pointy)
 

I've managed to lose my owners manual, so can somebody advise/recommend as to what would need doing for the above service which is due in 500 miles? Last service was done at 7,500 miles which involved cleaning airfilter (it looked fine and replacement was deemed unnecessary), new oil/filter and new sparkplugs. Usual greasing and lubrication done aswell.

Throttle Boddies

Valve clearences (sp) etc.

Check air filter, replace oil and filter... and the other usual stuff

You can do all the easy stuff yourself and just take the bije to the dealers for the engine bits. I did this and it cost me £150 rather than £300! :shock:

My K3 service guide says to just check everything and oil and filters change, nothing that major really. All the big stuff (valve clearances etc. etc.) is on the 16000 service. Is it not the same for the K4s?

Thats what it is for my K5 as well, at a suzuki dealer you shouldn't pay more than £130 for an 11,000 mile service IMO.

DIY = 30 quid = :D

aint it 14.5k the big service

think i may need a hand transplant if it involves
working on the engine took 2 hours to get me rear coil off
