advice needed

what to do?i snapped (doh )the mirror stalk its cast alu i think ,so can i just stick it back together using ,jb weld/araldite or something for metal ,or will i have to buy another one,theres no point repairing it if it just snaps again ,am i wasting my time or is it easily fixed :?
