Cut out this morning

Hi All

On my way to work this morning I stalled my K3. Oh well there's a first time for everything. Anyway, started bike and pulled away. I got about 30 to 40 yards and the bike lost all power. I pulled into side of road. The bike started straight away and off I went again, this time without any problems. Bike was ok on the way home too. Has this happened to anyone else? If so did you find out what caused it?

Many thanks
Tim.

Has the bike been modded at all? Eg aftermarket can? My K3 used to do that every now and again and thats because it needed dynoing after being fitted with a full racing exhaust system IIRC.

I did go through a light shower that lasted less than a minute, bike hardly got wet at all and no spray off the road from wheels etc. So unless a lucky rain drop got to the electrics I don't think that would be the problem.

Kind regards
Tim.

Hi All.

I didn't think of it before but last week I filled up with Shell V Max fuel. The bike coughed and spluttered a few times and I put it down to the fuel. Since then I have used regular Asda fuel. Perhaps these events are connected and it has nothing to do with the V Max fuel. I will be doing a service soon and I have a new set of plugs to put in so hopefully this will help.

Is there any point in the ignition electrics I should look for water ingress?

Many thanks
Tim

The foam on the underside of my tank came loose the other day and got sucked into the air intake, you could check it's still stuck to the tank properly.
