Silver SV1000, Vauxhall area... was my slide cool ?
 

Silver SV1000, twin acros and SV650.org on the plate... I was on the Gixxer-6 and when we got to the next set of lights I thought I would do one of my "stomp the back brake see how long I can slide" kind of things. Well I didn't expect it go out sideways like that and basically had to counter steer that slide !

Just wondering how it looked from behind cos I almost bloody highsided going in a straight line... :oops:

Personally I would be thinking more that the guy who had no rear-brake control was driving like a ****.

Save cr@p like that for the track or private roads.

Wonder what the guy in on the SV1000 would have been thinking if you had lost it, thrown yout Gixxer down the road and knocked his bike with it.

We (bikers) get enough bad press with regards to safety etc that we don't need to re-inforce it in the eyes of other road users,

If it wasn't for the stunty-boyz at Battersea and/or Frith St, then maybe the Soho Massive wouldn't be looking for a new home.

I power wheelied past some guy on a Triumph 955 thingy pulling away from the lights going to work a month back and the bloke worked in my place but never flaming saw it!!!

I have to admit to playing around like that now and again. I personally find that pushing the limits helps me to gain machine control.

Well do it in the privacy of your own home/runway/private carpark.

Dont put others at risk because you want to play.

I'm sort of in the middle about this. Like carsick I've been known to push the limits from time to time, but also like Soulkiss, I'd of thought he was a wucking fanker.

Machine 'control' like that when you're around another biker that's unfamiliar to you is dangerous, to both bikers and anyone else on the road (including fluffy animals). I know I certainly don't act like a fudge factory worker when around unfamiliar bikers, and I hope carsick doesn't either.

If you're going to do it, try to minimise variables. Part of my bike training involved only testing one variable at a time. Far less likely to spend time being looked after by NHS nurses that way (though that can be advantageous).

But then, there's a suicide 'victim' born every day....

In the rain I skid at about 50% of traffic lights in town. Brightens up the mood when I'm utterly soaked from having forgotten my waterproofs. :shock: :oops:
