Been caught speeding - rubbish!

And it was on 4 wheels and not 2. Got zapped at 82mph on the M180 heading towards S****horpe by a van parked on one of those raised platforms just behind a bridge, sneaky little sh*tes!

I drive around 40-50k miles per year and this is my first speeding offence since passing my test in 1988. Oh well

Welcome to BIG BROTHER 2006. I don't agree with speeding per se, but thats a bit unlucky mate.
More Revenue perhaps?

ArtyLady 05-10-06 02:22 PM

Bad luck - not that much over the limit either  :(

Ping 05-10-06 02:23 PM

D'oh... :( but prepare yourself for the 'don't come here complaining just because you got caught doing something you shouldn't be' brigade.

;)

glsuk1970 05-10-06 02:32 PM

I'm sure they'll be here any second Ping, once they've finished the long journey from their higher moral ground.

andyaikido 05-10-06 02:34 PM

Bad luck. Least it's only £60 and 3 points.

Complaining? Complaining would be trying to squirm your way out of the ticket. Doesn't seem to me like glsuk1970 is doing that.

Top marks that man. Makes a refreshing change for folks to just turn around & say 'Well, I got caught speeding. Bugger.'

Biker Biggles 05-10-06 02:45 PM

Are we talking about the "Take it on the chin/like a man/You done the crime now take you punishment/If you don't like it don't exceed the speed limit"brigade?
Sod all that,it's a real ****er is'nt it?Big brother jobsworths are destroying this country and I could have a good rant but I'll spare you all just this once. :o

We were just talking about you, were your ears burning?

I can't complain at all really (even though I already have!) what with the amount of time I spend on the road, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Like andyaikido said, least it's only £60 and 3 points.

Coincidentally, of the 5 people I work with, 3 of us have been caught in the last 2 weeks. Must be some kind of evil curse at work
