Yep, unless you want to get into rejetting, I reckon leave it standard. And if you want to get into rejetting, don't muck about with a K&N, IMO they're not worth bothering with- the BMC Race RS that JHS Racing is a much free-er flowing filter. Put it this way, standard jetting calls for about a 140 DJ jet, roughly. K&N and a full system, generally around 150. Race RS and full system (and not even a very good one), and I'm running 180s.
There's a good argument for K&Ns saving money in the long run, as they're washable- one K&N pays for itself after 3 changes. But, there's a chance it'll give you lean running, which isn't so good. Doesn't always happen though. I reckon, the BMC Road filter's a better option for that since it's an exact replacement, but washable. No chance of getting a performance gain though.
But frankly, jetting an SV for power is expensive for the gains. Mucking about with cams is cheaper and more effective, and in the long run actually easier I reckon (DIY jetting is mechanically easy to do, but very hard to get right without professional help and a dyno, while cams are mechanically not that easy to do, but don't have the setup time) Leaving it alone is cheaper still ;)
