My shot at an early friday joke...

Not exactly PC, but it made me giggle.

Poland, 1944.

The SS arrive at a small village and gather the populace in the main square.
A young priest tries to escape, but he's immediately followed by a young nazi soldier.

In his quest for freedom, the young priest finds himself trapped into a corner, with no way out.

The young soldier aims at the priest, and he's getting ready to shoot when the sky becomes pitch black and the God's voice is heard:

"Stop this instant, don't shoot!, that young priest will one day become Pope!"

The petrified soldier drops his gun, and trembling and shaking asks the Lord,

"And what will become of me, Lord?"

"You're next."

It all makes sense now! You can tell I'm not into religion

Still I'm jealous of those who have an unwavering belief in an higher power which helps them through tough times.

The curator of an art gallery asked an artist for a painting depicting General Custer's last thoughts.

Two weeks later, the artist unveiled the painting, an enormous canvas with a blue lake painted in its center, with a fish leaping from the water with a shining halo around its head. On the shores of the lake were the most detailed pictures of Indians having a great time.

After gaping at the painting for some time, the enraged curator demanded to know what the theme was supposed to be.

The artist said, 'You asked for a painting of Custer's last thoughts', he explained. 'That's it. Custer was thinking, 'Holy mackerel, where did all those f***ing Indians come from?''

Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Whateveritis, was in the Hitler Youth y'see. But to be fair, so were an awful lot of people who hated it. But to his critics, that's as bad as being in an SS Death Squad
