I'll believe it when I hear of the first accident involving an uninsured driver where the police act like this is anything other than a minor niggle that isn't worth pursuing... :evil:

Yep they should hold the driver, call in an Armed Responce Unit, cuff the driver on his knees, shoot the fscker (after giving you the option to do it yourself) and hand you the keys to the vehicle telling you that it will be delivered to the place of your choice in 7-10 working days, having been re-sprayed (and what colour would you like sir), and re-registered.

Sounds like a plan to me.

They have all this technology now to read number plates and identify vehicles that have no current insurance,and yet the problem is getting much worse,not better.What they can't seem to do is catch the scrotes,and even when they do that they can't hold them to stop them vanishing again.The result is that the technology ends up being used against the bulk of normally law abiding citizens for petty offenses like minor speeding,bus lane,and parking offenses raising large amounts of money,but not combating much crime.
