Brake line bracket - anyone got one or where to get one?
 

Just noticed my SV is missing a brake line bracket on the front - shown below.

Does anyone have one? or know where i can get one? As the braided lines are rubbing on the mudguard

There called P clips any of the mail order companies do them or HG and some dealers sell them as well!!

just put a tie wrap through the hole and around the brake line. If you snip of the tail nice and short and hide the remainder round the back of the fork leg it doesnt look bad.

cheap and simple.

If the original isn't a tight fit, be sure not to do up the cable tie super tight if you use that method. Not an issue on braided lines and probably not an issue on rubber brake lines either but I don't know if you could do it tight enough to be squeezing the brake line so effectively you are applying a braking force.

Just apply common sense if it is a rubber brake line and using the cable tie method, make sure that you can't see it visibly squeezing the brake line.

You can't apply braking force that way, as it would be a constant deformation of the line. The only thing you could possibly do is impede hydraulic flow, reducing braking force, but that would take a serious effort to accomplish, and I doubt cable ties could handle the stress.

I've got braided lines on mine and use 8mm p-clips (as someone else suggested)
