Snubbed!

Well, what can I say, I was snubbed this morning by a fellow SV650 rider :(

Obviously, only having picked up my SV on Sunday, it's still a novelty to me. So was very excited when he pulled up beside me at the lights, it was like I didn't exist.

Please tell me, is there some unwritten law between naked and fared SV's / male and female riders on SV's / black or blue SV's .... I'm confused or am I just being too sensitive?

I dont think it was anything personal, I see this every day.

Most people just want to ride, not chat/make contact.

Only real exceptions I have had were a bus driver wanting to ask about my TomTom, and actually at about the same place (but on a different night) a young lady who I think was a courier, wanting to ask about my red pointy - she was on a red curvy (quite fittingly ) wanting to know if there was much difference in performance between our bikes. Another one was to make eye-contact, share a raised eyebrows and a shrug at the antics of a scooter rider with a guy on a Diversion.

Some people are just *****s

Some people dont like to chat at traffic lights. I dont, i might look at the bike next to me and nod to the rider, but genrally im keeping an eye on the lights for when they change so i can make a quick, safe getaway.

Or eprhaps he has visual imparment and thought you to be on a scooter...that sort of thing happened to me when i was using the Speedfight (phwoooor! what a beast!)

I wouldn't take it personally.

I don't talk to most riders I stop next to at lights, although having said that I'd always give a fellow SV rider a nod at the very least.

I don't talk, but I do give the nod / wave to fellow riders (to riders of all makes of bike, not just SV's - although not to scooter riders...).

If I did that in London I'd never have my hands on the bars!

I wasn't expecting to get acquainted with him, a nod would've been enough.
I usually just look and nod if they nod at me, maybe he could sense the whole gridgirl with a new toy vibe

The bike's going to take some getting used to, she's so sensitive and responds quickly, my Yammy was a real stubborn old goat.

Gonna post a pic in another thread.
