Cheap(er) petrol

ASDA are offering 2p a litre off the price of petrol if you buy from them using their credit card which also acts as a loyalty card earning you savings...

If like me you have an ASDA on your normal route quite useful...

If you spend £50.00 on messages at Tesco's,
you get 5 pence off a litre up to 100 litres. :D

Not when their card actually costs you at least £500 per year more in interest than other cards - which was in the papers yesterday that these store credit cards arent actually cheaper despite the loyalty bit added on.

would it not be useful for people that pay it off every month though? or does it not give you any interest free credit...?

Thats what i was going to say. Its petrol after all, a monthly expense that gets paid monthly

Just to confirm it works like any credit card i.e monthly invoice which if you pay in full no interest charge plus points (totted up annually) which equal money off at ASDA.

At present this means I'm paying 81.9p per litre which is appalling but not as appalling as it would otherwise be

I appreciate for some people there ain't a choice but not paying off credit card monthly is very expensive but it is, of course, pretty well easiest form of credit.

Thats not the point, its petrol you'd be paying for with cash anyway.....
